Museum Collections
As part of my graduate research I work with malacological colelctions by databasing and imaging shells and therefore making them more accsessible to researchers. I think natural history collections are invaluable research tools and vastly underutilized. I think mussel shells specifically provide a great source to understand temporal and spatial variation in organims and the environment.

I think that brining the work done behind the scenes closer to the public is a good way to integrate museum collecitons and museum exhibits and showcase the important work done by curators.

As part of my graduate training, I am also obtaining a museum studies certificate.
